City reconsiders lighting Reconciliation Bridge blue for the Queen yyc

She said the original decision to include the bridge stemmed from there being no lighting commitment this weekend, prior to the national day of mourning on Monday. The bridge will be lit for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30. “I kind of laughed because I’m like, of course, they would not understand how insulting that would be,” said Robinson. “They put out a statement saying they would quit doing that but we checked night, my daughter and I, and sure enough, it was still lit up blue.”
