The City of Charlottetown is advising residents that the 2023 Canada Winter Games Illumination Festival will affect traffic from Feb. 19 to May 4. - FileCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The City of Charlottetown is advising residents of traffic impacts from the 2023 Canada Winter Games Illumination Festival from Feb. 19 to March 4.The city asks motorists to be cautious when travelling downtown during the games and festival, as there will be an expected increase in activity.

The site will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Founders Hall and Market will run at normal hours. Parking on-site during the festival is limited to those with VIP, accessible or festival parking passes and select staff and vendors.
