Columbus third-grader, Jeri Lankford, is thrilled to be headed back to school on Monday. The eight-year-old finds online school"kinda boring."The Columbus Education Association and Columbus City Schools reached anearly in the morning Aug. 25, but City League football teams won’t return to competition until next week at the earliest.

“Columbus City Schools will resume all athletic, band and drill team practices on Friday, Aug. 26,” according to a statement provided by Columbus City Schools communications director Jacqueline Bryant. “All activities are canceled for this week. School athletic directors will provide updated information on upcoming game schedules in the coming days.”
