The plan to build a University of Florida graduate satellite campus is one step closer after a Jacksonville City Council rules committee took up the measure Monday to fund $20 million in 2023 and another $30 million at a later date.
This measure, however, does come with conditions. UF must provide the $100 million for construction up front, which could be state money along with private contributions.were also at the meeting and presented a PowerPoint that outlined specific schools and what could be expected for the campus.
The rule committee said the campus has to be in the urban core, but there was no exact word where it would be built.Copyright 2023 by WJXT News4JAX - All rights reserved.
