Sophomore Aniya Foy led the Cougars with 13 rebounds and 18 points, including the go-ahead free throws. She added two more for a 51-48 lead with 17 seconds left. Cinco Ranch extended a 24-19 halftime lead to 30-19 before Taylor eventually closed the gap. The Cougars trailed only briefly. Baran found Foy for a basket to start the second half then added four points to aid 9-2 run out of halftime, closed by a three from Williams.
