Christie Brinkley looks back at helicopter crash 25 years later: 'Not a day goes by that I have not counted my blessing for being alive.'

Brinkley and five others were involved in the crash in 1994 near Telluride, Colorado. The group was heli-skiing more than 12,000 feet in the air when the helicopter began to crash after taking a sharp turn.

"Just boom, boom, boom, pow!” Brinkley told People in 1994. The fall was so abrupt that she thought, "I am going to die. Right now? Like this? A ski trip? Today?” Brinkley fell out of the helicopter and onto the snow, injuring her wrist, but surviving. The others also fell out onto the snow with similar injuries, but no fatalities."Maybe I will just simplify my life,” she said. "Maybe I’ll have the patience to be a better mom."
