The recent college graduates helped organize a viral protest to hand the president of Seattle Pacific University rainbow Pride flags at commencement.

Now, their next step is to pursue legal action and bring a lawsuit against the Board of Trustees. As Chloe said to the president while gifting him a Pride flag at commencement: “We're not going to stop until the policy changes.

We’ve decided that we're not going to stop pushing. We're going to keep fighting and we want things to change. Even though we graduated and walked across that stage, we want SPU to be a place that other people can be proud of and want to come to.

How do we fight to make this world a better place? The people who have control and power are forcing people into their policies. I hate to see injustice anywhere, and we’ve got to do something about it. It’s been a lot of learning as we go. There was no training or course we took on how to organize a protest. We’ve jumped in, we’re doing it, and it’s kind of working.It was kind of by chance. For health reasons, I had been home all of COVID.
