Chick-fil-A’s restaurant at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta opened in 1967. It is set to close Saturday, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
A Twitter account named Everything Georgia posted an image on Monday of a sign at Chick-fil-A’s Greenbriar location confirming its closure on Saturday.
“Our last day of operations here at Chick-fil-A Greenbriar Mall will be: Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM,”reads. “Please visit our other locations at Chick-fil-A Camp Creek Parkway and Chick-fil-A Cascade Road. It has been our pleasure to serve you!” Chick-fil-A said its Greenbriar location was “groundbreaking,” as it was the company’s first restaurant and was located inside one of the first indoor malls in the Southeast, according to theChick-fil-A’s original Greenbriar location was only about 384 square feet in size - comparable to a two-car garage - but later moved to a larger location in the mall.
