Sevilla chief blames Chelsea for the collapse of their deal to sign Jules Kounde CFC
Sevilla chief Monchi has blamed Chelsea for the collapse of their deal to sign Jules Kounde.after the LaLiga giants swooped in to hijack the Blues’ move. However, Sevilla’s director of football Monchi insists Chelsea only have themselves to blame.
“Earlier in the summer, there were more clubs interested, but by last week the only club was Chelsea,” he said. “But then doubts appeared, not about the player’s quality, but about his profile, whether they preferred a different type of player. Barca only appeared for the first time at the weekend, the first time I spoke to Mateu Alemany was on Monday.
The Stamford Bridge club also missed out on Raphinha, despite thinking a deal was agreed with Leeds, as the Brazil forward opted for Barca as well.
