Students and parents from several charter schools gathered at the Capitol to rally legislative support for changes to the law governing their schools as well as ask for more funding.
About 100 students and parents from Pennsylvania’s charter school community converged on the Pennsylvania Capitol on Tuesday to promote their favored school choice option.
Representatives from three organizations – the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools, African American Charter School Coalition and Philadelphia Charter Excellence – formed a coalition to bring their voices together to push for their desired law changes and tout the value these independently operated public schools offer.
