Hockey Puck - Thinkstock - ThinkstockSUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Evan Nicholson’s goal 30 seconds into the third period proved to be the difference and helped send the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Knights to their eighth win in a row in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Under-18 Hockey League.
Nicholson broke a 2-2 tie and Nathan Mossey added an insurance marker with 35 seconds showing on the clock in the Knights’ 4-2 win over the Northern Moose on Nov. 5. The Knights, who improved their league-leading record to 9-1-0-0 , hosted the game at Credit Union Place in Summerside. Dawson Sharkey had a big game for the Knights as he was in on all four goals – scoring twice and adding two assists. Brennan Murphy, Connor Pierce, and Jonah MacDonald also chipped in with single helpers.Winning goaltender Kiefer Thompson stopped 36 of 38 shots. Niko Boudreau turned aside 38 of 41 shots for the Moose.
