Charlie Atkinson, pictured in earlier action, homered twice and drove in six runs Tuesday as Cinco Ranch rallied from an early deficit to rout district rival Jordan.KATY — The Cinco Ranch baseball team trailed by four runs early on its home field Tuesday against Jordan, marking the sixth time all season the Cougars had allowed four runs in a game.
Jordan led 4-0 and lefthander Monty Bognar already had five strikeouts when Atkinson took his first at-bat in the second inning. With the Cougars seeking their first hit, the senior drilled a two-strike pitch out to left-center field for a three-run home run. Atkinson, who started on the mound in a 4-3 win against Jordan on Friday, finished with six RBIs including a bases-loaded walk.
