Even as some of the surrounding pieces have changed, having a familiar face running the offense has been vital to the success of Harvest Prep.
Harvest Prep opened MSL-Ohio action Sept. 9 with a 38-16 victory over Columbus Academy, improving to 4-0. The Warriors play host Sept. 23 to Ready, which is considered an auxiliary member of the MSL-Ohio.
The other stat that stood out was Rogers was 9-for-11 passing, a significant improvement compared to the season’s first two games. He went 9-for-24 in a 20-7 victory over Bloom-Carroll on Aug. 19 and 9-for-21 in a 40-35 victory over Hartley on Aug. 26. Rogers was a regional track and field qualifier last spring in three sprinting events, proving he has the speed to scramble when necessary. He rushed for 227 yards and one touchdown on 41 carries in the first three games.
