Mark your calendars as mom's special day is right around the corner.
Starting Sunday, April 16, the shopping centre will gradually turn into a world of pink, decorated with glittery disco balls and vibrant pink adornments.
The Mother’s Day decor with vibrant pink adornments, disco balls, crystal-encrusted mannequins and a glitzy selfie wall, will be on full display from May 1 to 14, so keep your cameras handy. On May 13, Metropolis at Metrotown will be throwing a full-glam “Pink Disco Party,” featuring a live DJ, fashion show, photo opportunities and a spread of food and beverage treats.
The Pink Disco Party taking place in the grand court on May 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m., and 3:30 to 5 p.m. will have a build-your-own mimosa bar, a flower market providing complimentary custom bouquets by local Burnaby florist, The Heart Company, and feature exclusive strawberry and raspberry-infused coffee and tea lattes by Lions Bay Coffee Company.
Of all gift card sales from April 16 to 30, Metrotown will be donating 10 per cent to Cause We Care Foundation, a Vancouver-based charity that helps single mothers achieve economic security, build capacity and create a positive future for themselves and their children. Shoppers who spend more than $300 on gift cards on these days also get two tickets to the Mother’s Day Pink Disco Party.Mother’s Day celebrations will be held at Metropolis at Metrotown from April 16 to May 14.
