Today is the start of the California Earthquake Authority's (CalQuake) forum on equitable residential earthquake resilience. The featured speakers include the USGS's Dr. Sara McBride. More info here:

Save the date! The 5th Annual Research Forum will be held virtually on Monday, September 20 and Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 10am – 3pm PDT.

CEA’s annual Research Forum invites subject matter experts across risk and resiliency disciplines to come together and discuss groundbreaking ways to improve the safety and security of our communities. This year’s forum will concentrate on Equitable Residential Earthquake Resilience in California, with the focus on translating research into action.

As the world transitions out of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be introducing a low-income supplemental grant in conjunction with the Earthquake Brace + Bolt program. Recent experience with health science communication and the inequitable impacts of a disaster on vulnerable communities can inform and improve the proposed grant.
