First responders reported heavy smoke coming from the two-story apartment building shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday.
DALLAS — Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a fire at the Cornerstone Apartments on Community Drive off Northwest Highway in Dallas Thursday, officials said.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they observed heavy smoke coming from the two-story apartment complex, DFR said. They moved in for an offensive attack, but it wasn't long before conditions worsened and crews had to move outside and assume a defensive posture.
