“I’m fine,” Blanchett told Gillard. “I had a bit of a chainsaw accident yesterday, which sounds very, very exciting, but it wasn’t. Apart from the little nick to my head, I’m fine.” Gillard advised her to"be very careful with that chainsaw. You’ve got a very famous head, I don’t think people would like to see any nicks taken out of it.”The 'systems' don't work:The actress, who said she had been taking the year off to support her oldest son through the U.K.'s A-level exams even before schools shut down amid the coronavirus crisis, also reflected on how she thinks the pandemic will affect the entertainment industry in the long run.
"When you think about film, you think about it being once-removed from an audience," she said."Particularly in the wake of the streaming revolution, we've considered our viewing time, our gathering time, in the home. I think, when we emerge from this, people are going to want to gather because it is a human drive to gather together in public and experience story. Obviously production has been stopped, people can't go into the theater. ...
