‘We got to the last two cases and lo and behold there was a cat hiding behind there. It just stuck its head up and looked and then snuck down behind it.’

A tabby cat from China spent almost a month inside a shipping container before being saved in Prince George last week.

“We started unloading it and noticed some cardboard in there and bits of Styrofoam on the floor,” he said. “We thought maybe there was a rat in the container. We got to the last two cases and lo and behold there was a cat hiding behind there. It just stuck its head up and looked and then snuck down behind.”“We didn’t want the cat to get away because we didn’t know what it would have, coming all the way from China.

“We rushed her to the vet because she was in such poor condition that we knew she would require intensive veterinary care for an extended period of time to regain her strength,” he said.
