City received a prop cheque for more than $35M, representing the total contributions the Sault has received for hosting the casino since it opened in May 1999

Gateway Casino celebrated its silver anniversary in Sault Ste. Marie yesterday, alongside the city and OLG.

OLG’s chair of the Board of Directors, Jim Warren, and other OLG team members presented a cheque totaling $35,286,618 to the City of Sault Ste. Marie. This represents the total contributions to date that the City has received for hosting the Casino in the region since it opened in May 1999. During the 2023–24 fiscal year, the City received $1,411,083 in gaming revenue from slots and table games.
