Horror roguelike Inscryption could be heading to PlayStation after it surfaced on the Australian ratings board.
. The game first launched on PC back in September last year. At the time of writing, neither publisher Devolver Digital nor developer Daniel Mullins Games have announced a console release just yet.
In case you’re unfamiliar, the game is a mash of several genres including deckbuilder roguelikes, escape rooms and psychological horror. The very meta setup sees you as a card collector who uncovers an as yet previously undiscovered digital version of the titular card game. Once you boot up the game-within-the-game, you find yourself in a room with an opponent and a match in progress. Where it goes from there is for you to discover, but things get very creepy, very quickly.
It’s proven a huge hit on PC so far, scooping up a number of awards. These have included the Game of the Year at the Game Developers Choice Awards for 2021, and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize at that year’s Independent Games Festival. It also picked up nods at the DICE Awards and this year’sHopefully, we’ll hear more about a potentialconsole version, for PlayStation or otherwise, soon. We’ll update you if we do.
