A River Walk hotel had to be evacuated Friday morning after San Antonio fire officials discovered high levels of carbon monoxide, the department said.
San Antonio fire crews were called to the Hampton Inn and Suites on Soledad Street just before noon for reports of a person down. When they arrived, they found several people with medical issues consistent with carbon monoxide poisoning, San Antonio Fire Department spokesman Joe Arrington said.On ExpressNews.com:Five people were taken to a hospital with unknown conditions.
San Antonio fire crews are working with the city’s Development Services Department and the hotel to determine the cause of the buildup and how to remedy the situation, Arrington said.
