York Regional Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man involved in a vehicle theft in Richmond Hill Thursday morning.Posted: Aug 09, 2024 5:34 PM EDT | Last Updated: 1 hour ago
Around 6 a.m. Thursday, police say they were called to a local hospital after a man arrived with a stab wound. The victim was accompanied by two other men, police say, one of whom left as soon as they dropped off the victim. Investigators later determined the victim and two other men were involved in a vehicle theft earlier that morning, at approximately 4:45 a.m. on Kersey Street, YRP spokesperson Const. Lisa Moskaluk said Friday.
The stolen vehicle was recovered later in the day Thursday, Moskaluk said, in a Toronto underground parking lot near Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue W. Video surveillance in the area showed an unknown suspect exit the vehicle there and leave the area on foot, she said.
