Limoges has spent the last three seasons in the AHL.

to a one-year, two-way contract. The deal carries a $775,000 cap hit through the 2024-25 season, with a minor-league salary of $300,000.It will be Limoges’ fourth full season of professional hockey. After going undrafted, he signed out of college with the San Diego Gulls, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, late in the 2020-21 campaign. He spent the next full season in San Diego, before signing his first NHL contract, a two-way deal with the Winnipeg Jets in 2022.

In 2023-24 with the Hershey Bears, Limoges was part of a stacked unit. In 62 games, the Winchester, Virginia native racked up 24 goals and 27 assists. It was the third straight season, in which he scored at least 20 goals, and the second consecutive campaign in which he hit the 50-point mark. In the Calder Cup Playoffs, Limoges notched four goals and nine assists, helping Hershey defeat the Coachella Valley Firebirds to win its second straight Calder Cup.

However, despite putting up good numbers in the AHL, Limoges has never found his name on an NHL lineup card. All 210 of his professional appearances have come in the AHL. Over that time, he has registered 78 goals and 88 assists for 176 points, including 17 points in 30 playoff games. Even though he has yet to play for Washington, signing with the Caps is a dream for the 26-year-old, as he grew up playing in the Washington Little Caps youth hockey system. Limoges went on to play for the Tri-City Storm and Waterloo Blackhawks of the United States Hockey and collegiately at Penn State University.
