Orianna MacNeil of Mabou was named to the U Sports women's hockey all-rookie team during the organization's national awards ceremony in Montreal.From walk-on to AUS rookie of the year, Cape Breton’s Orianna MacNeil proves hard work doesn’t go unnoticed in university hockey As a walk-on invite to Panthers camp in September, MacNeil earned a spot on the Panthers roster. She appeared in 27 games with the team and finished the year with six goals and 16 points along with a plus-5 rating and 90 shots.
MacNeil was named the AUS' rookie of the year and was also part of the conference's second all-star team and all-rookie team.
