SYDNEY, N.S. - The Joneljim Cougars were successful in winning a pair of games over the weekend to kick off the second half of the Nova Scotia Under-15 Major Hockey League.Brody Ford scored twice, while Nicholas Basque-Christmas also added a goal for the Cougars .Cougars' Kayden Mollons made 23 saves. Truro's Sam Berthiaume turned aside 41 of 44 shot.
On Saturday, the Cougars controlled the Dartmouth Whalers 7-1 at the Zatzman Sportsplex in Dartmouth. Charlie MacLeod scored twice, while Brody Ford, Gavin Sudds, Cohen McNeil, Brody Walker, and Brody Dawson chipped in with single markers for the Cougars.Cougars' Daniel Levatte made 17 saves. Dartmouth's Parker Coull and Sinéad Beanlands shared time in goal.
