Bruce Cockburn: 50 years of music, spirituality and social justice | SaltWireSYDNEY, N.S. — Dr. Manivsan Moodley said his career was unblemished for more than three decades.

The first resulted in Moodley being fined $325,000 and suspended for five months when he was found guilty of professional misconduct in November 2020; charges Moodley has always maintained he wasn't guilty of.Three other complaints filed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia will be heard at an upcoming hearing committee proceedings; something Moodley has tried to stop through the college and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal with no success.

"This is nothing but a witch hunt against me," Moodley said in the text."The intention is to show that I am incompetent, shut my practice which has thousands of patients and to discredit me. The Cape Breton community is aware of my competence." An interview request with the college's registrar and CEO Dr. Gus Grant sent Monday morning could not be accommodated before publication time.In Moodley's text to the Post, he noted the recent external review done on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia which looked at systemic racism inside the college.
