SYDNEY – Tyson Cato of the Cape Breton Capers men’s basketball program was named the athletic department’s athlete of the week for the period ending Jan.
The Ajax, Ont., product appeared in two games for the Capers last week. He started the week with a game-high 21 points, nine rebounds and three steals in the Capers’ 92-61 win over Dalhousie at Sullivan Field House in Sydney on Friday.
The bachelor of arts student also recorded a double-double – 17 points and 16 rebounds – along with three assists in the Capers’ 83-80 loss to the New Brunswick Reds on Sunday in Fredericton.- Jeremy Fraser is the sports reporter for the Cape Breton Post.
