Loui Eriksson was a healthy scratch for the Canucks Wednesday 😬.
was made a healthy scratch for the first time under head coach Travis Green Wednesday.
Eriksson had been playing on a line with Jay Beagle and Tyler Motte but he was replaced by Markus Granlund for Wednesday’s home contest against the New York Rangers. The 33-year-old has struggled mightily this season with 10 goals and 22 points in 69 appearances. He has just one goal and one assist in his past 20 outings while averaging 12:35 of ice-time during that stretch and Green felt it was time for a change.
“I want to put back in, and it’s not like I’m sitting here saying that Loui’s played terrible, but has he done enough where I can’t take him out of the lineup?” – Travis Green on scratching Loui Eriksson on
