The Vancouver Canucks star was again absent from practice Wednesday at Rogers Arena as he battles a virus that coach Bruce Boudreau says has touched just about every player on the roster at one point.Start your day with a roundup of B.C.-focused news and opinion delivered straight to your inbox at 7 a.m., Monday to Friday.By clicking on the sign up button you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.
Brock Boeser missed two games last week due to the same virus. If Pettersson can’t suit up on Thursday against the Seattle Kraken, that will be the third game the Swedish centre has missed. “Pretty hard to think that he’s going to be available,” Boudreau said. “He’s missed six days. I mean, he’s a good player, but he’s not Superman,” he said.
The Canucks also play Friday in Edmonton against the Oilers, so Pettersson’s availability for that game is in doubt as well.
