Alexander Romanov is a member of the CanadiensMTL's Phase 3 training camp roster and will join the team from Russia.
Romanov, 20, was a 2018 second-round pick by the Canadiens in 2018. The defenceman has spent the past two seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League, registering 11 points in 86 games.for Phase 4 of the league’s return-to-play plan, which starts with their play-in matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins.that Montreal is interested in signing Romanov and allowing him to burn the first year of his entry-level contract.
