Canadiens defenceman Brett Kulak says he tested positive for COVID-19.

The 26-year-old described the symptoms in a conference call with reporters on Friday, saying he had a “pressure in my head, a little kind of dull headache all day.”

Kulak and defenceman Xavier Ouellet, who also tested positive, missed the beginning of Canadiens training camp but returned to the ice Wednesday. Kulak told reporters that he initially “There was just a little bit of concern — hopefully the symptoms don’t progress to something too severe,” Kulak said of what he was thinking during his quarantine. “But as it went on I was in talks with the team and the medical staff every day and they were super good with me.”
