Only 13 per cent believe service has improved as more and more tips are being requested.

As a result, more than half of Canadians are keen on a pay model where a fee is included in the tab, meaning an end to tipping and higher base wages for service workers.Those who have worked in a service job were no more likely than those who have not to support a service-included model, at 58 and 59 per cent respectively.
