Fire crews are battling the Eaton Fire near a fully engulfed residence in Altadena, California. Firefighting aircraft from Canada , including two water-bombing planes from Quebec and helicopters from Coulson Aviation, are assisting in the fight. Thousands of firefighters are working to contain multiple blazes that have killed at least two people and destroyed over 1,000 structures across the Los Angeles area.
Coulson Aviation, based in British Columbia, Canada, has deployed its Chinook and Sikorsky S-76 helicopters to the frontline. Two CL-415 planes from Quebec's Transport Department have been actively involved in firefighting since Tuesday, as part of an annual contract with California. Quebec Public Security Minister François Bonnardel offered support to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, stating that the province is ready to send additional firefighters if needed
