Mitton of Brooklyn, N.S., led after a first-round heave of 19.86 metres, which Chase bettered in the second round at 20.03.Song Jiayuan of China was third at 19.83 metres Saturday. Mitton finished fourth last week in Xiamen, China, which was the first of 15 stops this season on the international Diamond League circuit.Vancouver's Regan Yee placed ninth in the women's 3,000-metre steeplechase Saturday in a season-best time of nine minutes 26.12 seconds.
