L'ÎLE-BIZARD–SAINTE-GENEVIÈVE, Que. — Canadian golf fans will have to wait until the fourth and fifth matches of the Presidents Cup's first round to see their homegrown players tee it up.
Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont., will be paired with Japan's Hideki Matsuyama in the fifth match against Americans Patrick Cantlay and Sam Burns. International team captain Mike Weir of Brights Grove, Ont., chose four-ball as the format of the first round at Royal Montreal Golf Club. Australia's Jason Day and South Korea's Byeong Hun An will face Xander Schauffele and Tony Finau of the U.S. in the opening match.
