A new report by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship is raising alarm bells over the increasingly 'leaky bucket' of Canada’s immigration system and the slow drip of migrants giving up on their dreams of settling down permanently in Canada. On Oct.
“That’s a serious threat to our prosperity,” Bernhard added, explaining that the problem is not just one of concern over the negative experience of new immigrants. “This is a problem for everybody, because mathematically, there’s no way that we will fill the shortages in health care or housing without bringing skills and talent from outside of the country,” Bernhard said.
