CBC is reporting it confirmed with her family that Johanson has passed away.
A nurse by trade, Johanson was known throughout Canada and the United States for her frank discussions about all manner of sexual health topics. Starting her career in 1970 at a Toronto birth control clinic, she began travelling around Ontario providing sex education discussions in schools, until around 1980 when she was offered a call-in radio show.
Things took off from there and Johanson enjoyed a decades long career, earning countless accolades and legions of fans.
