The pandemic has changed the world in a lot of ways, including how we view rural and small communities across the country. Since the first lockdowns ensued, there has been an exodus of city dwellers swapping their high-rise apartments for green space and fresh air in rural and suburban Canada.0.7 per cent increase between July 2020 and July 2021, with Ontario and Quebec reporting the highest number of city dwellers relocating since 2001.
