The early service end is so crews can work on the new Capstan Station between Bridgeport and Aberdeen stations

The early closures will affect anyone travelling on the Canada Line to and from Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond–Brighouse stations. Service between Bridgeport and the Vancouver airport is unaffected. TransLink is providing extra bus service between Bridgeport and Richmond-Brighouse as an alternative, with buses running about every 10 minutes.

“The temporary service changes are necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public, as crews will be pulling a connector cable from Bridgeport Station to Capstan Station and will be working on the Canada Line track,” said TransLink in a release. The new station serving Richmond’s growing Capstan Village neighbourhood between Bridgeport and Aberdeen stations is due to open later this year.Article content
