Team Canada, coached by P.E.I.’s Gardiner MacDougall, had an opportunity to win a gold medal at the 2024 International Ice Hockey Federation world under-18 championship on May 5.
“It was an unbelievable start for the group and we were looking to separate ourselves in the second period,” MacDougall told Hockey Canada. “ George made a number of huge saves again for us and great job by our penalty killers.George finished with 31 saves against Sweden.
