A man was discovered dead Monday in a caged golf cart found submerged in a canal at a golf course in Indio, California. The name of the victim was not yet released.
According to Cal Fire the maintenance vehicle was submerged on its side in a canal on the grounds of the Terra Lago golf course. A technical rescue performed at the scene at about 3 p.m. removed the cart. Firefighters extracted the vehicle and reported that the man"perished at the scene." Cause of death was not stated.
