It was during the execution of a search warrant on the Enmax complaint that officers found 160 cannabis plants and the safe containing documents in Bassett’s name, magic mushrooms and $222,000 in cash. Bassett’s licence allowed for 73 plants. Bassett was charged with several drug possession and trafficking offences, as well as being in possession of the proceeds of crime — the disputed $222,000, according to the decision. He later pleaded guilty to some of the charges, including being in possession of money derived from drug trafficking.Article content
