“It doesn’t matter what round I go,” the 18-year-old Fink said from his new hockey and scholastic home at Penn State just hours ahead of the draft. “I know I can be the best player in that draft, and I’m focused on that.
In 2021-22, he played in 60 games for the Bandits, registering 19 goals and 53 points, plus four more goals and an assist in four playoff games. “What he’s brought to us is just a big-time energy, like an offensive life and offensive presence,” Papaioannou continued. “Great kid — always happy, and certainly fun to work with. And I think the main thing is he’s the type of guy that he wants the puck on his stick. The bigger the moment, the more excited he is to play.”
