ICYMI: Calgary police seek suspects who struck senior in unprovoked attack at CTrain station yyc
On March 30, around 9:45 a.m., a 73-year-old man was sitting inside the Marlborough CTrain station located at 889 36 Street N.E. He was approached by a man and a woman, which led to an unprovoked attack, according to a police press release. The woman hit the victim in the head with a glass bottle and the man struck the victim with an unknown object. The victim fell to the ground and was knocked unconscious, the offenders then fled the scene.
While investigators have reviewed CCTV footage from the station, they have been unable to identify the suspects.Calgary police are asking for help from the public to locate two suspects believed to be connected to the assault of a senior resident.The female is described as 30 years old, approximately five feet six inches tall and 130 pounds with long black hair that was in a bun.
Police believe the second woman they are looking for wasn’t involved in the assault, but may be connected to the suspects.The release added police are committed to creating safe public spaces “including on transit, by taking action to reduce crime and social disorder through focused collaborative enforcement and compassionate supports.”Article contentThe assault is the latest in
