Calgary police seek dashcam footage after man violently assaulted in car yyc
The victim was released from the vehicle back in Calgary and reported the assault to police. He received treatment in hospital for his injuries and was later released.Police are looking to identify the vehicle used during the assault. It’s described as a 2010 silver SUV with tinted windows.
Investigators say they believe the vehicle was pulled over on the shoulder of northbound lanes of Highway 2 just south of Yankee Valley Blvd. in Airdrie between 9:10 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 29. They’re asking anyone who was travelling on Highway 2 in the area during that time period with dashcam footage to contact police.
Those with footage or other information are asked to call the police non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or submit tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or calgarycrimestoppers.org.
