Calgary Police are actively searching for a suspect in the double murders of a woman and her father. The suspect, identified as Matthew Kaminski, is considered armed and dangerous.

Calgary police have issued an emergency alert for an armed man they say is a suspect in the double murder of his wife and her father. Around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, police were called to a home in the 0 to 100 block of Kincora Grove N.W. As police investigated, a second victim, a woman in her 30s, was found dead in a home at 11:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Tuscany Ridge Heights N.W. 'The CPS were called to Kincora at 21:30 last night—so 9:30 p.m.

'But as far as the timeline or the order of those events, we don't know—it's still under investigation.' An alert was sent out about 'a dangerous man with a firearm' in northwest Calgary and Bearspaw, a community just outside city limits.Wayne said Kaminski 'wasn't known to police in the past.' In a news release, police said Kaminski is believed to be somewhere in northwest Calgary or Bearspaw and ask all residents in those communities to be on alert. He is described as approximately 183 centimetres (6') tall, having brown and grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey, red and white T-shirt. It's believed Kaminski is driving a black, 2022 Nissan Pathfinder with Alberta licence plate number CLN 5276. Police say both deaths are believed to be targeted and domestic in nature, but that they still felt the need to alert the public at large. 'We do very much think this was a targeted incident, but we go through a risk-assessment process at every stage of the investigation, and once we start to see certain behaviours or concerns get raised, we then look toward utilizing the public's help and alerting the public potentially to risks,' Wayne sai
