Canada ’s CPI for September. The Street is forecasting a decline of 0.2 per cent from August but a rise of 1.9 per cent year-over-year. Canadian new motor vehicle sales for August. Estimate is a jump of 6.0 per cent year-over-year.
Canadian existing home sales and average prices for September. Estimates are year-over-year increases of 7.0 per cent and 2.0 per cent, respectively. Canada’s MLS Home Price Index for September. Estimate is a year-over-year decline of 3.5 per cent.Bank of America; Charles Schwab Corp.; Citigroup Inc.; Goldman Sachs Group Inc.; Johnson & Johnson; PNC Financial Group Services Inc.; United Airlines Holdings Inc.; UnitedHealth Group; Walgreens Boot Alliance Inc. Canadian manufacturing sales and new orders for August. The Street is projecting month-over-month declines of 1.5 per cent and 1.0 per cent, respectively.
U.S. import prices for September. Consensus is a decline of 0.3 per cent from August but flat year-over-year. Canada’s international securities transactions for August. U.S. initial jobless claims for week of Oct. 12. Estimate is 300,000, up 42,000 from the previous week. U.S. Philadelphia Fed Index for October. U.S. NAHB Housing Index for October.
