NEW WATERFORD, N.S. – The Breton Education Centre Bears and Riverview Ravens picked up victories in the Cape Breton High School Soccer League on Saturday.
In junior varsity girls’ action, BEC downed the Memorial Marauders 2-0 at MacKinnon Field in New Waterford.In boys’ action at Open Hearth Park in Sydney, Riverview defeated the Sydney Academy Wildcats 6-1. Josh Gogan had two goals, while Carter MacDonald, Cash Ryan and Mark Jennings added single markers for the Ravens.- Jeremy Fraser is the sports reporter for the Cape Breton Post.
