Take an inside-the-numbers look at the Jaguars' Sunday victory over the Titans, a game that gives the Jags new hope in the AFC South.
Over the past five games, following the team's Week 8 loss against the Denver Broncos, Lawrence has completed a league-high 71.8 percent of his passes for 1,362 yards, 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He is the only QB during that span to throw 10 or more touchdowns with no interceptions.
Walker led the way in the Jaguars' front seven with three pressures on 13 pass-rush opportunities, according to Pro Football Focus. He played just 34 snaps due to a right ankle injury suffered in the second half of the contest. It was Walker's best game of the season, with a 77.3 grade per PFF. "Once I had jumped offsides, I started telling our guys, ‘I’ve got y’all’s back.’ And all the guys were just like, ‘Don't slow up, don't slow up. Just continue being you.’ Once I got that from my guys, it just kept my confidence growing and I just kept playing," he said.
"Evan's one of the most hardworking guys we have on this team," WR Christian Kirk said after the game Sunday."Comes in, doesn't complain about anything. He just goes to work and he does everything that the coaches asked him to do. For him to come out and have a career day, it was awesome to see." During the game, Campbell was targetted just three times and he responded with three pass breakups, not allowing a single catch. It was the first game this season in which Campbell did not allow a single reception.Campbell is tied for fourth in the league with 12 pass breakups this year, according to Pro Football Reference. New York Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner ranks first with 16 on the year.
