Burnaby RCMP officers issued tickets to drivers who failed to properly clear snow from their vehicles this week. After a day of education on Monday, enforcement began on Tuesday, resulting in several tickets being issued for safety violations.
It took just two hours for Burnaby RCMP to pull over 112 drivers who hadn’t properly cleared the snow off their vehicles this week.
“Leaving snow on your vehicle, including the windshield/windows/roof creates safety hazards for all road users and could result in being ticketed,” stated the post. Monday was “all about education” so officers didn’t write any tickets, according to Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj, but that stopped Tuesday.
